Default Adjusting a NOE sprue plate

Loosen the locking set screw on the pivot screw.
Make sure the pivot screw is free and turns easily.
Tighten the pivot screw until the spring washer is
fully compressed and the screw bottoms out and
just stops turning.
Next back the screw out about 1/4 to 3/8 of a turn.
This should let the sprue plate pivot on its own weight.
This should also give good clearance between the
sprue plate and mould block. Snug up the set screw.

To adjust the hold down screw on a 4 and 5 cavity mould
Do the same, loosen the set screw on the hold down screw.
Make sure the screw is free and turns easily.
Tighten the hold down screw until the screw bottoms out
on the sprue plate and just stops turning.
Next back the screw out about 1/8 of a turn or less.
The sprue plate should just slide under the head of the screw
with no resistant's. Snug up the set screw.

You may have to work with this a little but it should get
you a very close adjustment.

One of the biggest problems with sprue plates is adjusting it
to tight
