I posted what I know about the scopes below.

Simmons 44 Mag, 6-24x44, $150:
http://www.amazon.com/Simmons-Mil-Do...=28I78N2NAL6TG No experience with this one but a friend has one and loves it

Hawke Varmint 6-24x44, $200:
http://www.amazon.com/Varmint-6-24x4...=28I78N2NAL6TG Heard not so good things about this one from my local dealer. Course thats purely second hand. I asked a friend who knows scopes better then I and he likes his very much.

Bushnell Banner 6-24x40, $110:
http://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Banne...=28I78N2NAL6TG Just got one for my Mrod but have not mount it. For the money it seemed hard to beat.

Mid-size:

Hawke 3-9x40 AO:
http://www.amazon.com/3-9x40-AO-Spor...156988&sr=1-32 Have this scope and love it but if your shooting at 1" dots at 60 yards it wont cut it, least not to my eyes.

Hawke 4-12x40 AO:
http://www.amazon.com/Hawke-Optics-A...157091&sr=1-64

Hawke 4x32 AO:
http://www.amazon.com/HK3004-hawke-s...157194&sr=1-11 Again I have this one and its great, but not for much more then 15-25 yards for me

UTG 4x32 AO:
http://www.amazon.com/UTG-4X32-Full-...157337&sr=1-22 Have two of these and the same applies to the Hawke 4x32

Small:

3-9x40 Bugbuster, $63:
http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Buster-3-9...157337&sr=1-10 Just picked one of these up two weeks ago. Was looking forward to a compact 6x9. Was very disappointed. Could be a bad one but will have to wait till I exchange it for another

6x Bugbuster, $50:
http://www.amazon.com/UTG-Buster-6X3...2157706&sr=1-2 Great scope ! But may be a little shy on magnification for the ranges your looking for.
