Default Quite possibly the coolest air gun ever built !

This was translated from the makers website, Theo Hegmens. I have always been a huge lever action fan and how can you not love an old Henry lol. When ya think about it this things a .22 caliber throwing heavy Korean pellets at over 50 FPE. Thats shooting a Eungin 28.5 grain pellet at 900 FPS !

McAirrow oHenry
The older ones among you have certainly bathed like me as a boy in Karl May and know the scene from Winnetou III. Now she had to be a time, the adaptation of "Henry stub" on-air operation. As you can see, I made system box and butt plate, brass-solid material. The steel surfaces of .22 Lothar Walther barrel and the 'magazine' are fine with nice grill covered while Hahn, deduction and lower levers were only slightly bronzed. For the shaft I used a scrap piece of wood Wenge muzzleloader times. Actually it should have been a piece of American walnut to be like anyway deviate one or another detail from the legendary model. Nevertheless, I like it. oHenry is 110 cm long, 4.3 pounds and 30 misses Korean grain pellets with 60 to 70 joules from a six-drum.

McAirrow 'oHenry'
with pressurized system and open loading door. Since the opening angle of the lower lever is only 60 degrees, this system can be compared to 'Rugby' repeat comfortable and soft.

McAirrow 'oHenry's
Drum takes everything that is not too thick and shorter than 12mm, but preferably Korean Roundheads with 30 grain weight, which are secured by an O-ring to prevent slipping and falling.

McAirrow oHenry at the shooting range (25 yards)
Before long, I was quite pleased with the results: With 230 bar initial pressure six Korean Roundheads flew launched (about 30 grains) and without optics repeatedly ctc in spreading circles around 12 mm. Is the weapon and the shooter spread (no optics, 'age-related blindness') included. The first drum delivers at a rate of approximately 1 liter of air per shot a satisfactorily constant power of 60 joules. Without fresh air then the second drum brings still about 55 to 40 joules. Concerned about oHenry's silhouette I could of course only a relatively thin tube used as compressed air tank (120 cc).

McAirrow oHenry system sketch
is a powerful bolt action .22, whose appearance was the legendary model come close. oHenry plays in the 60 joules class and was therefore viewed as biased during the production phase of pigeons flying past. The solid brass system box (of a few parts brazed) contains however deviating from the model which is necessary for the air operation technique: The actuation of the lever (about 60 degrees) pulls the 'chamber stem' rearward clamped in this way the hammer against the adjustable coil spring tilts in the last section, the drum control panel and can lock the drum on a spring loaded ball. The next pellet located above the barrel, and is pressed by the rearward movement of the lower lever in the trains. When shot transmits a 'bumper' the pulse of the rooster on the firing valve.

I just wished these guns were available in the states. Sure if they were they would be stupid expensive but worth iit if you ask me. His craftsmanship looks second to none.
