Default Diana 25`s mortal remains

G`d evening,

some geezer from the wet, dark, moist and sinister shooting range called Noarderloft way up the northern part of the Netherlands, asked me if i was interested in an airgun modified to a firearm.

Why not. If it is a dangerus piece of work i will toss in the canal and run away. Once i had it in my paws i saw he has given me the mortal remains of a simple airgun. Didn`t mind. I like `m all. The gun showed what it was.

This gun showed one thing we all recognize. A piece of diy to keep a gun shooting. You as a young guy doing your best. A piece of scrap metal, filing a notch in it. And keeping it in place with a small wooden wedge. The sight of it brought me back to my childhood shooting.

Cobwebs.

The little wedge....

The spring is still wet with grease like goo and there`s some things attached to it.

There`s something growing between the action and the cocking lever!

There`s nothing to screw the front stock bolts in. Broken clean off.

There`s not much left of the pivotting bolt. I tried to loose it but i gave up quickly. There`s no reason to loosen the bolt and ruining this picture.

Maybe this is a clue to the remark that this gun is a firearm? The barrel is drilled to a larger diameter. Maybe a Hilty cartridge fits?

The barrel latch works perfectly. Tho` not clean it`s a beautifull sight.

The trigger is rudimentary, once it worked perfectly.

................

Cobwebs in the barrel.

The grooves and lands are still there.

This front sight makes a great picture. I can`t help wondering what it has been aiming at in all its years.

The bracket is as wrinkly as the scrotum of a sea turtle. It has some resemblance of Keith Richards too.

The bushing in wich the trigger is located.

And this bolt keeps the triggerguard in its place.

..................

I took the internal organs out. I started with the trigger.

Kinda dirty. Lots of hardened grease.

Looks like there`s grass growing on it.

The piston is pretty wet. The gun has been in my shed for over a year.

The rear end of the piston.

The trigger bushing and the spring guide.

The bushing where the trigger is located in.

The mainspring...

the spring was cut off without any consideraton.

For me this gun had no future at all. We`re collecting money for KiKa, a Dutch organisation wich fights children cancer. I sold the gun and gave the money to KiKa.

JBA, a guy i know from the shooting range, has some kinda love for weird guns, for guns without any future, so he bought it.

At the Dutch airgunboard we like to do like collecting money for charity. We did KiKa some years ago, a year leter we did something against diabetes, we colected cash against kidney diseases, we helped a disabled airgun shooter to reach the paralympihcs and now we`re doing KiKa again.

Cheers!

Hi,

am i allowed to say that i think photobucket is run by a bunch of fuckers? I really hope so because i am sure they are senseless fuckers with only money on their mind. If it`s not allowed to ame them fuckers i would like to call them 'Klootzakken' instead.

I`ve got an enormous amount of topics to remake because of those Photobucket klootzakken.

Best, Roel
