Default Pellets and impact points

I set up a .22 pistol using Crosman Premier hollow points. I also picked up some Crosman copper magnum domed pellets. The pistol is really accurate; even at 25 yards (the shortest target distance at a nearby range). However, when I switched to the copper pellets the impact point moved about 6" to the left. It was still a tight group, but off target. Is it typical for a change in pellet to have such a dramatic effect?

How much of a change varies by gun and pellets used but your poi will change when you switch from hollow point to dome style pellets just like it will when you change pellet weights.

I just got a PRod and heard the Polymags shoot well in it. Got a tin and they are pretty much a single enlarged hole at 25yds. Figured I would try some of the Metalmags. They shoot 3 inches left, and 3" right of the Polymags. This is 2 almost identical pellets made by the same manufacturer.
