Default Here's a little research i did.

I left a pellet in the barrel when i disassembled my 2240. This is what i decided to do afterward

This is why I extend my bolt to push the pellet well into the rifleing, I also reream my chamber for proper pellet seating.

Very interesting! This must have an ill effect on velocity as well.
