Default Solving the 22XX striker-pin wobble.

As you increase the striker spring the striker pin may impact the back of the bolt causing it to develope a wobble. A couple of ways to fix this is to grind 1/8L from the back of the bolt or invert the striker pin. Inverting the striker pin requires that you remove the collar from the pin. This can easily be done by chucking it in a drill and giving it a few spins on a file. Be sure it slides through the slot in the bottom of the breech. Now just invert it and tap it in snug.

Great idea. I will have to try it on one of my test guns. Do you think it would work along the line of an HDD ?

Default I don't see why it wouldn't.

The practice is mainly to give extra room to the striker travel due to a stronger spring but it also allows for a deeper dwell when the valve opens.
