Default Krico

G`devening everyone and hi Dave,

it`s been a while since i`ve been here, lotsa things happened the last years but airguns lasted!

I bought a German airgun from the fifties, a Krico LG1. In 2015 or so i repaired a LG1 for a girl. The LG1 was a very well built airgun. So i decided to buy me one someday. And i did three months ago.

Krico is still in business. The factory is making fireams for hunting, the poduction of airguns has stopped long ago. That`s a pity. Krico`s are well made and accurate.

Here are some pictures of my Krico.
I put a Nikko Sterling scope on it because the front part of the open sights was gone.

It`s obvious i didn`t do any work on the outside of the gun. The Krico is some 10 years olde than me and i don`t want it to look better `n me.

This small screw makes the trigger adjustable. It`s a solution i`ve seen on Chinese airguns too, this trigger is marvelous and Chinese triggers aren`t.

Here`s the trigger adjustment screw of a Shanghai model 55.

Here`s the trigger taken from the gun.

and the parts the trigger is made of.

to be continued....

....

The circulair sprring around the trigger was gone, so i replaced it with an o ring. It works allright.

One locking screw was missing. I haven`t found the time to make me another one.

I made a simple new part for the front sight.

The rear sight is a bit worn of course but it does what it is made for.

The spring of a Weihrauch hw95 sems to fit when a few coils are removed. I left the sprring the way it was. I did replace the leather seal. The seal from a Diana model 35 fits.

Hee`s the perfect machined cocking rod. When the stock screws arre a bit too long they will not do any damage.

..........

Like i said, the seal wasn`t all that great. It looked suspiciously like the seal from the that i have worked on in 2015.

On the piston it looked a bit better.

It`s a feast to shoot this little gun with its 7 fpe. No target is safe up to 25 yards.

Best regards to everyone.

Groetnis from Fryslân!
