Default Cmp 853

Not a Crosman, Benjamin or Sheridan however Daisy is an American company, so guessing to put it here.

I ordered a CMP 853 with monte carlo stock from the crosman marksmanship program used rifle sales. I figured I would get a rifle in a box.

I was quite surprised at how well it was packed for shipping. I would have thought I was getting a Daystate with the size of the outer box and the heaviness of it.

When I opened the inner, padded, box I was pleasantly surprised as what was included with the rifle.

Civilian maybe? and that's probably the best way to get one of those guns.

The 853 is a great gun for what it is. If you haven't already look into the trigger mod for them. I recently did the change and holy cow what a difference it made. Went from a near Crosman-like trigger to a very clean break with almost non-existent creep. She can definitely shoot better in different hands but has turned into quite a fun gun now.

853's are great. I used to shoot them on the rifle team, in cadets.
