Default Stopping scope slipping thru top clamps

]

This is the stuff line the rings top and bottom with one layer of this 3M product. Even two screw clamps stop slipping even on a D54. Also protect scope tube finish

Easy to find at Autozone near you

Default Invest in a inch-pound torque wrench.

Invest in a inch-pound torque wrench. Mine goes from .5 to 36 inch-pound. If ya need more than 35 to stop slipping on dovetail something aint correct

Too tight can distort stuff and allow scope to slip or dent scope tubes.
